Rainbow Fruit Skewers are a simple way to get more fresh fruit into your day without much fuss or cleanup. They’re quick to prep, easy to customize, use simple ingredients you probably already have, and bring plenty of color and flavor to the table. You don’t need any special tools—just fresh fruits, a few skewers, and a couple of minutes.

How to Make Rainbow Fruit Skewers with Step-By-Step Instructions

You’ll find these skewers come together quickly if you follow my simple steps.

Prep the Fruit

Start by rinsing all the fruits thoroughly to remove any dirt, wax, or pesticide residue that may still be on the skin, even if they look clean. Then, gently pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to keep them from getting soggy.

Add the halved strawberries and peeled orange.
Next, add kiwis and pineapples.

Halve the strawberries, peel and segment the oranges, slice the kiwis, and cut the pineapple into bite-sized chunks. Don’t squeeze so they hold their shape and stay juicy. Keep the blueberries, blackberries, and grapes whole so they stay firm on the stick.

Once everything’s prepped, place each fruit in a separate bowl or on individual plates—this makes assembly easier and keeps them from getting mixed up or mashed while you work.

Take your clean wooden skewers and add the fruits in the following order: strawberry, orange, pineapple, kiwi, blueberry, blackberry, and grape—you’re going for rainbow color.

Wash the blueberries and stick them next to the kiwi.
Add the blackberries.
End with two grapes.
