Air Fryer Turkey Wings have quickly become my go-to for a juicy, flavorful dinner with minimal fuss. The wings come out crispy, golden and caramelized on the outside, tender all the way to the bone, with garlic and poultry seasoning soaking into every single bite. Rich, hearty, and honestly? Way too good for how easy they are to make.

I make these for Sunday dinners, Friendsgiving, tailgate parties, potlucks, and any time I want a Thanksgiving-style meal without the fuss of roasting a whole turkey. They’re perfect for smaller gatherings, and the air fryer gets them done so much faster than the oven. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer.

Here’s everything you need to know to get these wings golden, juicy, and full of flavor from start to finish. Whether you’re working with fresh turkey wings or leftover turkey wings, this method delivers perfectly crispy skin every time.
Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Giving it a few minutes to come up to temperature helps the wings start crisping right away once they go in.
Arrange the Chicken Wings
Place the turkey wings and chopped onion into a baking dish that fits inside your air fryer basket. Arrange them in a single layer; don’t put too many turkey wings, so they cook evenly and the skin has room to crisp up properly.

Season and Add the Liquid
Pat the wings dry with a paper towel before seasoning so the spices stick and the skin gets super crispy during cooking. I like using a reusable Swedish dishcloth for this since it’s more absorbent than regular paper towels and holds up better when patting down larger cuts like turkey wings.
Season both sides of the wings generously with poultry seasoning, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. You can also mix in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, or a pinch of cayenne pepper to build a deeper spice rub if you like more heat and color.
Then pour the chicken broth and white wine over the wings. The liquid creates a savory base that keeps the meat moist and infuses every bite with flavor as the wings cook.
Air Fry the Wings
Air fry for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they’re golden brown and fully cooked. I use this compact air fryer, which maintains a steady temperature throughout, making a big difference in achieving that even, golden finish.

Flip halfway through. Turning the wings at the midpoint of the cook time helps both sides develop that golden, even color. Set a timer so you don’t forget.
The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part of the meat using a meat thermometer. I always keep a meat thermometer nearby so I don’t have to guess about doneness.
A light brush of olive oil or avocado oil on the skin before cooking can also help it brown more deeply if you want extra color.
Garnish and Serve
Scatter fresh parsley over the wings just before bringing them to the table. This sharp chef’s knife makes quick work of chopping the parsley into a fine, even garnish.
If you’re taking these to a gathering, transfer them to a glass casserole dish with a lid or tightly cover the baking pan with foil to keep them warm and contained on the way there.

Notes
- Choose the right baking dish: Make sure the baking dish you use fits inside your air fryer basket without pressing against the sides, which can block airflow and affect how evenly the wings cook.
- Season both sides generously: Don’t rush the seasoning step. Getting the poultry seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic onto both sides of the wings makes a big difference in the depth of flavor you get in every bite.
- Don’t skip the liquid: The chicken broth and white wine aren’t just for flavor. They create steam inside the dish, keeping the meat juicy, while the wings’ tops crisp up beautifully in the hot air.
- Flip halfway through: Turning the wings at the midpoint of the cook time helps both sides develop that golden, even color. Set a timer so you don’t forget.
- Check the temperature, not just the color: Wings can look done before they actually are. Always check that the internal temperature reads 165°F (74°C) near the bone before pulling them from the air fryer.
- Freeze with broth: When freezing leftovers, add a spoonful of the cooking liquid to the bag or container before sealing. It acts as a buffer against freezer burn and keeps the meat tasting fresh after reheating.

How to Store Leftovers
Let the wings cool completely before storing, then transfer them to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. I like using divided glass meal prep containers so the wings stay upright and the broth doesn’t spill over.
Make sure to spoon some of the cooking liquid over the wings before sealing the container, since that broth keeps the meat from drying out in the fridge. Leftover wings also reheat well in the oven at 300°F for about 10 minutes if you prefer the oven.
Freeze with broth. When freezing leftovers, add a spoonful of the cooking liquid to the bag or container before sealing. It protects against freezer burn and keeps the meat tasting fresh after reheating.
Thaw overnight in the fridge, then reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes, until warmed through and the skin is crispy again.
What to Serve With Air Fryer Turkey Wings
They’re hearty enough to anchor a full meal, and they pair really well with classic comfort sides. The wings are dark meat, so they stay tender and juicy even after reheating, which makes them especially satisfying alongside hearty sides. Mashed potatoes or buttered rice work beautifully to soak up all that savory garlicky broth, and a side of roasted green beans or collard greens rounds things out perfectly.
For something a little lighter, a crisp green salad or coleslaw cuts through the richness of the wings nicely. Cornbread on the side is always a crowd-pleaser and makes the whole spread feel complete and satisfying.
