- Choose Your Cut: Chicken breasts cook quickly and stay lean, but if you prefer a richer flavor and juicier bite, boneless chicken thighs work just as well in this recipe.
- Season Early: Coat the chicken in spices before cooking to build flavor from the very start. That seasoning makes a difference once it's in the sauce.
- Don’t Rush the Sear: Let the chicken sit in the pan undisturbed at first—it helps it develop a golden crust and locks in moisture.
- Use the Same Pan: Cooking everything in one skillet keeps the flavors concentrated and makes cleanup easier.
- Crisp the Gnocchi Lightly: Giving the gnocchi a little color adds texture and helps it stand up to the creamy sauce later.
- Deglaze with Broth: Scraping up the bits from the pan adds tons of flavor to the sauce—don’t skip it.
- Boost the Flavor: Stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese after adding the cream—it melts into the sauce for extra richness and a salty, savory finish.
- Add Greens at the End: Spinach wilts quickly and can become mushy, so stir it in right before you’re done to keep it fresh and vibrant.
